Terrazzo Slabs vs Poured Terrazzo on Site

Two ways to get the same look, with very different programme and cost profiles.

Poured terrazzo

Mixed and poured in place, then ground and polished on site. The result is genuinely seamless across a floor.

It needs a specialist crew, curing time and a dust-tolerant site. On a fit-out with a short programme that is often the deciding constraint.

Terrazzo slab surface

Terrazzo from our own production. See the Terrazzo range.

Slab terrazzo

Produced and finished in the factory, then cut to size. The surface arrives finished, so there is no site grinding.

Joints exist, but chip pattern and colour are consistent between slabs of the same code.

Which to choose

Large continuous floors with time in the programme: poured.

Counters, vanities, wall cladding, table tops and any job on a fixed handover date: slab.

Design range

Our terrazzo runs from fine speckle to large chip patterns, so the same material can read as a quiet background or as the feature of a room.

Questions About This Guide

Can you advise on my specific project

Yes. Email [email protected] with the application, the exposure conditions and the look you are after.

Do you ship samples so I can test this myself

Free samples go to distributors, builders and countertop factories. Testing a physical sample beats any article, including this one.

Which surfaces does Namei actually produce

Engineered quartz at 93% quartz content, artificial marble, terrazzo, porcelain, sintered stone and nano glass, all on our own site in Nanyang.

Ask Us About Your Project

Send the application and the exposure conditions and we will tell you which surface fits.
