Chengli Special Automobile Co., Ltd. opened in 2004 inside Chengli Automobile Industrial Park, Suizhou City, Hubei Province. The plant occupies more than 67 hectares, with 62 factory workshops and about 3,000 employees.

The factory states production and sales of various special vehicles of more than 30,000 units and an output value of 1.5 billion US dollars in 2018. It lists more than 800 kinds of Isuzu special-purpose products, including fuel tank trucks, LPG tank/trailer, sprinklers, garbage trucks, sewage suction trucks, sweeper trucks, concrete mixer trucks, fire fighting trucks, crane trucks, refrigerated trucks, vans, pressure vessels, LED vehicles, stage trucks, chemical trucks, wreckers, aerial platforms, road-maintenance vehicles and flat transport vehicles.

Technical strength printed on the About page: more than 2,000 sets of large-scale production equipment, more than 200 sets of testing equipment, 16 assembly lines, more than 2,000 professional and technical workers and 800 technicians and engineers. The plant states it can run physical and chemical tests, pressure tests and non-destructive tests for A2 and C2 pressure-vessel projects, with heat-treatment and flaw-detection rooms.

The same page names over 100 independent innovation products with national patents, and says new-energy pure-electric sprinklers and sanitation trucks have been launched, with natural-gas and hybrid work in progress.
