The eleven materials we produce in, what each one is good for, and how to pick between them before you ask for a quotation.

Why It Matters

The Material Decides the Price the Weight and the Shelf Life

Two bottles that look identical in a photograph can differ by half the price because of the material. Our material set covers PP, PE, Tritan, acrylic, PCTG, AS, TPE, silicone, stainless steel, glass and ceramic, so the same body can often be quoted more than one way. All of them are 100% food safe grade, compliant with European and American food safety standards, and third party tested including FDA and LFGB.

MaterialWhat it is used for
TritanA BPA free copolyester used for clear, rigid bottle bodies. It keeps the look of glass without the weight and stands up to repeated dishwashing, which is why it is common in sport and motivational bottles.
PPPolypropylene. A tough, light food contact plastic used for lids, straws, inner parts and complete bottle bodies. It handles hot liquids better than most commodity plastics.
PEPolyethylene. Soft and flexible, used where a part needs to bend or seal, such as gaskets and squeeze bodies.
PCTGA clear copolyester with high transparency and good resistance to knocks. Used where a bottle needs to look like glass but travel like plastic.
AcrylicHard and very clear, used for tumblers and double wall bodies with a glass like appearance. Best suited to cold drinks.
ASStyrene acrylonitrile. Clear, rigid and low cost, common in outer walls of double wall tumblers.
TPEThermoplastic elastomer. A soft touch material used for grips, sleeves and seals.
SiliconeUsed for seals, straws, sleeves and folding parts. Stable across a wide temperature range and easy to clean.
Stainless steelUsed for vacuum flask and sport bottle bodies. Several models in our sport bottle line are specified with a 304 stainless inner and a 201 stainless outer.
GlassUsed where taste neutrality matters most, usually with a protective sleeve.
CeramicUsed for mug bodies and for interior coatings where a clean taste is the priority.

Cold Drinks and Clarity

Tritan, PCTG, acrylic and AS keep the drink visible. Good for infuser tumblers, motivational bottles and shaker bodies.

Plastic Water Bottles

Holding Temperature

Double wall stainless steel is the answer when a drink has to stay hot or cold for hours. Used across the flask, travel bottle and mug lines.

Vacuum Flasks

Seals Grips and Straws

Silicone, TPE and PE handle the parts that bend, seal and get bitten. They decide whether a bottle leaks in a bag.

Material Questions

Are all of these materials food safe

Yes. Every material we produce in is 100% food safe grade, compliant with European and American food safety standards, and has passed third party tests such as FDA and LFGB.

Which material should I choose for a gym bottle

Tritan and stainless steel are the two most common answers. Tritan keeps the contents visible and the bottle light, stainless steel holds temperature and lasts longer. Tell us the price point and we will quote both.

Can the same design be quoted in two materials

Yes. We hold blowing and injection capacity as well as metal bodies, so a design can usually be quoted in more than one material for comparison.

Do you provide test reports

Our materials are third party tested including FDA and LFGB, and our products have passed TuV and GS standards. Ask us for the documents that apply to your model and market.
