Consider Space Margin
A certain space margin should be reserved during installation. On the one hand, it’s for the convenience of routine maintenance and inspection of the air – conditioner outdoor unit. For example, enough space should be reserved to open the inspection panel of the outdoor unit. On the other hand, considering that the outdoor unit will vibrate during operation, the space margin can prevent the air – conditioner cover and the unit from rubbing or colliding due to vibration, thus avoiding damage to the unit or the cover. Generally, it’s recommended to reserve at least 5 – 10 centimeters of space around the outdoor unit.
Installation Location
Horizontal Installation
Ensure that the installation position of the air – conditioner cover is horizontal. If it’s not installed horizontally, water may accumulate on the air – conditioner cover, especially in rainy or frosty weather. The accumulated water may seep into the interior of the air – conditioner outdoor unit through the gaps and damage the electrical components. A level can be used to assist the installation to ensure that the bottom of the air – conditioner cover is in a horizontal state.
Avoid Obstacles
The installation position should avoid obstacles that may affect the normal operation of the air – conditioner outdoor unit and the functions of the air – conditioner cover. For example, don’t install it near heat sources (such as chimneys, heating pipes, etc.) to avoid affecting the heat dissipation effect of the outdoor unit. At the same time, avoid objects that may block the air outlet and inlet of the outdoor unit to ensure smooth air circulation of the outdoor unit. Also, pay attention to whether the installation position will be interfered by the decorative lines of the building’s exterior facade, billboards, etc., to ensure the smooth installation and normal use of the air – conditioner cover.

Correct Use of Tools
Prepare appropriate tools according to the installation method of the aluminum air – conditioner cover. Generally, screwdrivers, wrenches, and other tools are needed. When using tools, operate them in the correct way to avoid damaging the shell of the air – conditioner outdoor unit and the air – conditioner cover. For example, when tightening screws, don’t over – force to avoid screw stripping or the outer shell of the unit from cracking.
Check the Quality of Accessories
Check the quality of the installation accessories (such as screws, clips, sealing strips, etc.). The screws should be of appropriate length and have sufficient strength to avoid loosening or breaking during use. The clips should have good elasticity and firmness to tightly fix the air – conditioner cover. The sealing strips should be of good quality to effectively prevent rain, dust, etc. from entering the interior of the air – conditioner outdoor unit.
