Beryllium Copper Scraps

Beryllium Copper Scrap consists of clean beryllium alloyed copper solids. It may also include punching, clipping, bar, pipe, tubing or strips. Beryllium Copper Scrap is mainly obtained from Switches, Springs, Relays, Sensors, Connectors and Brush motors.

Clean Beryllium Copper Scrap can be readily recycled or reprocessed into new copper beryllium alloys, without altering its unique characteristics. If the Beryllium Copper Scrap is contaminated with metal impurities such as iron, aluminum, lead etc., it is advisable to separate it from other metals before recycling. It is economically and environmentally advisable for the manufacturer or a recycler to segregate copper beryllium scrap from other metals for recycle.

Beryllium Copper Solid Scraps including plates, tubes, bar ends, punching, sheet, strip, coil or other solid form or turnings, borings, scalping are acceptable, but fine turnings and sawing scrap are not acceptable. Scrap with excessive oily residue is not acceptable.

More importantly, materials should be sorted and segregated by material types and/or grade (i.e. Alloy 25, 190, 165, 10, 3, etc.). Mixed alloys may be rejected and will be returned at the supplier’s expense.
