Twelve Machines in One 40ft Container to South Africa
A South African tea packer ordering enough capacity to run pyramid bags and filter paper inner and outer bags side by side on one factory floor.
Project Challenge
The order covered two different bag formats at once, which meant two machine types had to be built, tested and crated to the same schedule and loaded into a single 40ft container.
Customer Pain Points
- Two bag formats needed, which no single machine produces
- One shipping window for the whole order rather than staged deliveries
- Machines had to arrive as a matched set so the floor could be laid out once
Our Solution
We built four C28DX pyramid and flat tea bag packing machines and eight C18-2 inner and outer tea bag packing machines, ran them off and loaded all twelve into one 40ft container from Xiamen.
Build and Shipment Process

- 3Each machine run off and checked before crating

Supply Chain Coordination
Building both machine types on the same schedule let the whole order move as one consignment rather than as separate part shipments, which is what made a single 40ft container possible.
Quality Control
Every machine was run and checked in our workshop before it was crated, so faults were found in Xiamen rather than on the customer's floor.
Final Result
Twelve machines covering both pyramid and filter paper bag formats delivered in one 40ft container in February 2024.
Customer Benefit
The customer received a complete two-format packing capability in a single shipment, with one set of freight costs and one installation window instead of several.
