Single tape-in is a pre-taped and ready-to-apply piece. The easy application of a single tape-in means it can be used either as a colour swatch for an exact colour match, or as a way to add more volume or more colour to hair you already wear.
Usually A Salon Product
Tape-in hair extensions are usually regarded as salon products. Most people have them installed at a salon because the process typically takes an hour to an hour and a half, although it can be done at home by someone who has followed a few tutorials.
Living With Them
Day to day care is not much. You can wash them like your own hair. Once they are on, they stay on your hair until you are ready to take them out or have them taken out, so you can shower with them and go to the gym with them for four to eight weeks.
Re-Using The Extension
When your own hair starts growing out, that is the time to have them taken out and put back in. You do not have to buy brand new tape-in extensions. Unless you have coloured your hair differently you can re-use the same ones, which is the real advantage.
All you have to buy is new extension tape. The tape on them is a double-sided tape, one side going onto the extension and the other pressed against your hair. Put the new tape on and your maintenance is simply putting them back in every four to six weeks.
