Where the branding actually lives
On an airer, four surfaces carry brand: the colour label under the shrink wrap, the printed colour box, the mailbox, and the moulded plastic parts at the head and socket. On a screwdriver it is the handle colour, the handle logo insert and the blister card. Each one has a different lead time and a different tooling cost, so they are worth separating at the quotation stage.
Colour is a material change, not a tooling change
The airer fittings are ABS, PP, PA6, PA66 and TPE mouldings; the screwdriver handles are two-shot PP and TPR. Changing colour means changing the masterbatch, which is a production planning question rather than a tooling investment.
Powder coating gives you the tube colour
The steel airers run through a powder coating line, so the tube colour is set at coating rather than at extrusion. Green and grey are the volume colours in this category; other references are a scheduling question.

How long does it take to set up?
Production lead time is 30-40 days. Artwork approval, colour matching and first-article approval sit in front of that and depend on how quickly proofs come back.
Is there a tooling charge?
Colour changes and print changes carry none. A new moulding or a handle logo insert does - tell us the annual quantity and we will quote it.
