Push the steel bar through the cross holes, turn clockwise until the collar meets the ground, then withdraw the bar and fit the pole.

Does it need a mallet?
No. The steel handle bar gives enough leverage to turn it in by hand.
Is the thread strong enough for a 60 m airer?
The body is ABS and PP. For the heaviest airers on exposed sites, a steel spike or a concreted plastic socket is the safer specification.
Can it be removed and reused?
