Shrink Wrap, Mailbox or Colour Box: Choosing a Pack
Every laundry product in this catalogue is costed in three pack formats. They are not interchangeable: each one changes the carton, the container quantity and in some cases the product itself.
Colour label plus shrink wrapping
The store-display format. The product is visible through the film, a printed label carries brand and barcode, and the outer carton is plain. On the airers this is the SS, SX, DA and SA suffix. Cartons run four to six pieces.
Mailbox
A plain printed box built to a parcel network's length band. On four-arm aluminium models the pole splits and the arms shorten to make the box, which is why LYQ215-40CBSA rotates 200 cm against 229 cm for the display version. The suffix is usually MB.
Colour box
Full-colour retail box. Same product as the mailbox in most of the range, different print. The suffix is usually CB.
Blister card on the small items
Retractable reels and most hand tools are quoted on a blister or clamshell card as well. LYQ102 is costed on all three: blister card 553 g, mailbox 585 g, colour box 595 g, with carton rates of 6 and 12 pieces.
What changes on the container
LYQ201-30SS in shrink wrap loads 2,200 pieces into a 20 ft. The same airer in a mailbox loads 1,800. A tighter box does not always mean more pieces, because the carton dimensions change too.
