The original article (kept here as historical industry background) recorded China express parcels at 14 billion in 2014 and 20 billion in 2015, and projected 28 billion in 2016. Associated packaging demand cited waybills, textile bags, plastic bags, paper envelopes, cartons, tape and inner buffer packs.
The article argued that express and e-commerce held up packaging demand while clothing, furniture and electronics packaging was weak, and that honeycomb paper had entered express as inner buffer. Those figures are not updated to 2026 on this rebuild.
