What To Confirm Before Ordering A Rear Camera
Backup cameras are constrained by how the signal and the power reach the rear of the vehicle. These are the points to settle with the sales team.
Power At The Rear
A solar unit carries its own power at the rear of the vehicle. That removes the power run, which on trailers and long bodies is most of the fitting time.
Signal Format
Falcon monitors accept CVBS and AHD on four channels. Confirm which format the camera outputs so it matches the monitor already on the vehicle.
Monitor Pairing
The 7 inch and 10.1 inch monitors in the vision line take four camera channels, so a rear camera can be added to an existing three-camera fit.
Mounting Orientation
The monitors set mirror, flip and mirror-flip per channel, so the camera can be mounted whichever way the bodywork allows.
Vehicle Voltage
Falcon monitors are specified 12/24V DC at under 6.5 W. Confirm the camera side matches the vehicle system before ordering.
