The piercing branch clamp is suitable for used on low voltage aluminum and cooper conductor ariel bundle cable.The IPC connector is insulated and suitable for use in liveline work.It is of insulation piercing type of main and tee-off conductors.

Piercing Branch Clamp Material

Upper and lower Body: made entirely of mechanical,weather,UV and age resistant plastic insulation material with no metallic parts outside the boday expect for the shearhead or nut of the tightening bolt.
Teeth of the contact plate: Copper tinned,copper alloy tinned or aluminum
Waterproof Sealing cover: Flexible PVC
Cable end cap: the tap section shall be provided with an end cap filled with oxide inhibiting compound of silicon grease and made from weather UV and age resistant plastic insulating material.The life span of the end shall be the same,if not longer than the life span of the connector itself.
Grease: Silica gel
Shear head nut: Zinc Alloy,the shearhead or nut of the lightning bolts is of size 13mm or 17mm.
Bolt and washer: Hot dip galvanized steel or Dacromet.It is made of non-corrosive material which shall maintain the pressure of the connector on the cable throughout the service life of the connector.
