Insulated piercing connector for abc cable are used to tap or splice applications on an energized conductor (tap must never be under load).CROP insulated piercing connector is manufactured in such a way that it can connect LV ABC and network connection conductors, whether they are aluminum or copper conductors.

Product Parameter of Insulated Piercing Connector

When the clip nut is tightened, the teeth of the contact plate will pierce the insulating layer of the LV ABC and achieve good contact due to the penetration of the conductor and the large contact area. The contact plate is made of electrolytic metal sheet with excellent electrical conductivity and very high tensile strength, so it can pierce the insulating layer even at very low temperatures. Tighten until mechanical damage occurs to the cutting head nut. Additional tightening is allowed up to the maximum mechanical load, a maximum of 1.5 turns from the moment the shear head nut is damaged. It can be installed with voltage, but proper protection equipment must be used.
