Salons ask for the combination when they photograph a piece from directly above and then straight on, and neither angle is allowed to give the cap away.

The rest of the base stays simple: fine mesh around the sides and back with a strap to close the fit, so the two worked areas are the only places carrying cost.

Two separate points apply to this pattern. Whether lace may sit at the forehead follows the community's custom, and silk on its own is not a substitute for a lining underneath. Both belong to the rav to decide, not to this page.

Use and Care

Nothing abrasive should ever pass over the silk surface, since scuffing it is what turns a matt part shiny. Dab the base dry instead of rubbing, and take the cap on and off holding the mesh, not the lace strip.
