Overview

Everything on this cap is arranged around the first inch of the hairline. Lace runs the full width of the front so there is no hard edge sitting on the forehead.

Short knots are tied by hand along that lace to give the fine, broken edge that reads as baby hair instead of a straight line of wefted hair.

Not every community accepts lace on the forehead. Where the custom does not allow it, the ribbon-band pattern is the one to look at instead — we build both and rank neither.

Materials

Swiss lace at the front, machine wefts on mesh through the rest of the cap, and stretch lace around the perimeter. Hair knotted at the hairline and hair on the wefts are matched from the same virgin or Remy lot so the front does not read a shade apart.

Customization Options

Hairline shape, how far back the hand-tied section runs, lace tone against the intended colour, and the perimeter finish. Anything to do with head measurements is settled by WhatsApp or email with the salon.

Manufacturing Process

  1. Front Lace Cut

    The lace strip is shaped to the hairline curve of the pattern.

  2. Baby Hair Ventilating

    Fine knots are worked along the lace edge first, before anything else is attached.

  3. Wefting the Body

    Wefts are run over crown, sides and back.

  4. Perimeter Finish

    Stretch lace and strap close the edge of the cap.

Quality Control

The hairline is inspected against the light on a display head: knot direction along the lace edge, no knot sitting proud of the lace, and no shade step where the tied front meets the first weft.

Kosher-Compliant Construction Notes

Front lace is not right for every custom — some communities keep the forehead free of lace altogether. That question goes to the salon and to the rav before the order is placed. What we supply is a description of the sewing, not a ruling.

Use and Care

Lift the cap off from the back so the front lace is never the piece taking the strain. Comb the knotted hairs at the edge with fingers rather than with a brush, and keep hot tools well away from the lace strip.

No. Some prefer no lace at the forehead at all and take the fabric-ribbon band pattern instead.

Can the baby hair be left off?

Yes — the front lace can be tied plain if the salon wants a quieter edge.

Can we order this cap raw?

The base can go out bare, though the hand work at the front is the part most buyers want done here.

How is the fit decided?
