Why Display Heads and No Models

The voice on this site is deliberate: no glam, no models. Every photo is a display head or a display bust, and that is not an accident of budget.

A photographed model sells a face and a mood. A display head shows the piece: the part, the colour, the length, the way the ends fall. That is the information a buyer actually needs.

It also keeps the catalogue usable for a salon that serves women who would not want to look at model photography in the first place.

What the Client Asks the Stylist

The request, when a client makes it in her own words, has two halves. First: that conversation distance should not reveal a sheitel.

Second: that a close look at the part should not betray mesh or natural hair. These are different distances and they are solved by different parts of the cap, which is why a piece can pass one test and fail the other.

A stylist who separates the two questions in the fitting gets a much more useful answer out of the client than one who asks whether it looks natural.

The Factory Answers in Construction

Conversation distance is mostly a hair and colour question. The close look at the part is a base question: silk, lace or mono at the crown, each behaving differently under a direct look.

None of those three answers is a ruling. They are materials and seams, chosen by the salon for the custom its clients keep.

Colour and Density Without a Marketing Number

We focus on conservative tones and controlled highlights to order. Not pink, not fashion colour — the brief from this market is a colour that reads as a woman in the community, not one that announces itself.

Density is described the same way: hair at a natural density, set with the salon, without a marketing number attached to it. A published density figure would be a selling device, not a measurement a buyer could check.

We Do Not Replace the Salon

The factory does not fit a client and does not rule on her custom. What we do is give the stylist material that works under scissors and under custom.

That phrase carries two requirements at once. Under scissors means the piece survives being shaped on a head: the base takes the cut, the hairline can be adjusted, the part can move.

Under custom means the construction was chosen before the piece was built, not argued about afterwards. That is the part of the work that has to happen in the order, and it is why the conversation with a salon starts with custom and not with a catalogue page.
