A US Private-Label Brand

An anonymised process pattern: a salon brand that wanted its own name on the cap without building a factory, served as OEM on a silk top construction with private packing and a hair sample first.

Client Background

A salon brand in the United States that wanted to sell sheitels under its own name. This is an anonymised process pattern — there is no brand name here, and no volumes or dates, because we do not publish client files.

The Challenge

A salon brand that wants its name on the cap without building a factory.

Pain Points

  • Owning a brand means owning a specification; without a factory partner there is nothing to hold that specification steady between orders.
  • A brand that cannot show a consistent colour direction across its own shelf stops looking like a brand.
  • Packing carrying someone else's identity has to be handled inside production, not improvised after the goods arrive.

Our Solution

OEM production on a silk top construction, with private packing under the brand's own identity and a hair sample approved before the run. Production stays with Zhong Tai Feng; the name on the cap is the buyer's.

Manufacturing Process

  1. Specification Locked

The silk top construction was written down as a fixed specification, so the same brief produces the same piece on the next order.

  2. Hair Sample Approved

A sample was approved against the brand's colour direction before any volume was cut, in the buyer's own light.

  3. Silk Base Build

The double silk crown was built so the knots sit under the layer, then hair was knotted in growth direction through the parting area.

  4. Private Packing

Finished units were packed under the brand's own identity rather than the factory's, as part of the production run and not as a later step.

  5. Batch Consistency Check

Units were read against each other and against the approved sample on display heads, so a shelf under one name looks like one shelf.

Supply Chain Coordination

Documented human hair, virgin or Remy, matched to the approved sample. Units shipped to the United States on the buyer's order in the brand's own packing, with customs and papers coordinated in conversation.

Quality Control

On a private-label run the check is comparative as much as individual: each unit on a display head for part, knots, hair direction and base cleanliness, and then the batch read together against the approved sample so the brand's shelf holds one colour direction.

The Result

A line sold under the salon's brand, built to a written specification that can be repeated. Production stays ZTF WIG. No brand name, volumes, dates or result figures are published for this pattern.

Customer Benefit

The brand owns the name, the packing and the colour direction; the factory carries the bench, the specification and the consistency between orders. Private label from a first order is sometimes possible and depends on volume — we say that plainly rather than promise it.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a named brand?

No. It is an anonymised process pattern. We publish no client names and no invented quotes.

Can we get private label on a first order?

Sometimes. It depends on volume, and it is closed in consulting rather than promised on a page.

Who makes the pieces?

Production stays ZTF WIG. The brand on the packing is the buyer's; the bench is ours.
