Every Model We Build

Eight models, all fuel cell. Handhelds for a person standing at the gate, mounted terminals for a door with nobody at it, and interlocks for a vehicle that has to refuse to start.

What Problem We Solve

A Reading Is Only Useful if It Survives the Argument

A screening result only helps if it holds up afterwards. Semiconductor testers drift, react to acetone, tobacco smoke and fuel vapour, and usually cannot be recalibrated at all, so a positive reading turns into an argument. Every ALCOKSON instrument uses a fuel cell sensor and carries a stated recalibration interval, so the reading and the record behind it can be defended.

  • Fuel cell sensors respond to ethanol rather than to acetone tobacco smoke or fuel vapour
  • Recalibration stated as 500 tests or 1 year on handhelds and 12 months on interlocks
  • Alarm point preset at the service centre to 0.02 0.05 or 0.08 percent for your market
  • Terminals keep 20000 test records so a result can be retrieved months later
  • Interlocks hold the start circuit when no supervisor is present at all
Why Customers Choose Us

You Are Buying From the People Who Build the Unit

Springsky Industrial Ltd began as a research division in 2010 with the mandate to develop technology that would prevent traffic accidents caused by drunk drivers, and built its factory in Dongguan in 2013. The company works with HKUST and CAS. You buy from the manufacturer, so the answer on configuration, alarm point and calibration comes from the people who build the unit.

How a Test Runs

From Power On to a Result You Can File

1 Warm up

10 to 15 seconds from power on before the unit accepts a blow.

2 Blow

About 6 seconds at roughly 10 L/min through a fresh mouthpiece.

3 Read

Result on the 4 digit LCD in under 10 seconds, in extended accuracy format.

4 Act

Audible alert and LCD colour change above the alarm point, HI above the range.

5 Record

Handhelds keep the last 5 records and a test counter; terminals keep 20000.

FAQ

Questions We Get Before the First Order

Which ALCOKSON model should I start with?
If somebody is standing at the gate, start with the ALC-213 handheld. If the entrance has nobody on it, start with the ALC-605 or ALC-608 terminal. If the risk is a vehicle being driven away, start with the ALC-303 or ALC-308 interlock.
Do all your instruments use fuel cell sensors?
Yes. Every model we publish a specification for uses an electrochemical fuel cell sensor rather than a semiconductor element, which is what makes the reading selective to ethanol and the calibration interval meaningful.
Can the alarm point be set to our national limit?
On the handheld range the alarm point is selectable at 0.02, 0.05 or 0.08 percent and is set at the service centre, so tell us the destination market at order time and the units arrive configured.
What is your minimum order quantity and lead time?
Both are confirmed in writing per order, because they depend on the alarm point configuration, the display units and any branding. Tell us the quantity and destination and we will put the figures in the quotation.
Do you supply distributors and integrators?
Yes. Springsky Industrial Ltd manufactures the units, so terms, configuration and calibration questions are answered by the people who build them rather than by an intermediary.
How do I get a datasheet?
The Download Center carries the published specification for the handheld, terminal and interlock ranges as PDFs. For the ALC-607 the datasheet is issued per enquiry.

Tell us where the test has to happen

Send the site type, the daily test volume and the market you are shipping to. We will come back with the model that fits and the figures we can put in writing.
