How to Specify an Industrial Butterfly Valve for a Quotation

Give buyers a request-for-quote checklist that matches what MIC’s sales contacts can actually price.

State the service: water, heat-supply water, seawater, chemical name, or air. Medium and temperature decide seat and disc material more than the body style does.
State DN and pressure rating (for example PN10 / PN16) and the flange standard the mating pipe uses. MIC’s About page states a general pressure band of 0.05–4.0 MPa and sizes from DN10 to DN2600; each model still needs its own rating confirmed.
State body style: wafer, lug, U-type, concentric flanged, or eccentric flanged. Add anti-corrosive / lined if the medium requires it.
State the operator: hand lever, worm gearbox, pneumatic or electric actuator, or bare shaft. Firefighting-signal and gear-operated listings exist in the butterfly family; do not assume a lever is available on large DN.
