What is a gallium nitride (GaN) charger?
A gallium nitride (GaN) charger uses GaN power semiconductors instead of conventional silicon switches. The practical result buyers care about is a smaller, cooler brick at the same or higher wattage.

GaN does not replace certification. The same CE / FCC / RoHS conversation applies, and laptop-class wattage still needs a cable and a device that will accept the profile.
