The First Sample Is Not A Final Product

The first sample is a proto sample made quickly at low cost. It shows the garment's basic construction, fit and fabric behaviour. You see the real shape, how the seams sit, and whether the design works in three dimensions. This is not the version you sell. It is the version that proves the concept can be sewn.

The Fit Sample Is Where You Fix The Shape

After the proto sample, you review the fit sample. This is the stage where you comment on how the garment sits on the body: sleeve length, shoulder slope, waistline, armhole depth. You can request changes to the pattern or construction. Every adjustment is made before the pre-production sample is cut.

The Pre Production Sample Is The Final Check Before Bulk

The pre-production sample is made from the same fabric, thread and trims as the bulk order. It is the last chance to confirm the fit, stitching, zippers, labels and overall look. This sample must match your approved tech pack and cut sheet exactly. Once approved, the design moves into the bulk production line.

How To Comment On A Sample Without Confusion

When reviewing a sample, use clear, specific language: 'Sleeve is 1.5 cm too long on size M', 'Back neck is too tight', 'Zipper pull is too small'. Avoid vague terms like 'it feels wrong'. Attach a photo or sketch if needed. Foriver tracks all feedback and applies it to the next version.
