You do not need a sketch, tech pack or digital file to begin. Sending a physical reference garment to Foriver is the most direct way to communicate your vision. The factory can examine the construction, materials and fit in person, and use it as the basis for the tech pack and cut sheet.
What A Factory Can Copy From A Physical Garment
The factory can copy the construction method, seam types, stitching pattern, fabric weight and thickness, and the placement of zippers, pockets and trims. It can also replicate the fit and silhouette, provided the size run is clearly defined.
What A Factory Cannot Copy Without Your Input
The factory cannot copy the exact fabric blend, colour formulation, or proprietary finish without your specification. It cannot replicate a unique trim or label without a sample or description. The design details that are not visible in the garment must be defined by you.
How To Prepare The Reference Garment For The Factory
Measure every major section: chest, sleeve length, body length, shoulder width, and collar height. Take clear photos from front, back, side and close-up of seams, zippers and trims. Label each measurement and photo. If you want changes, describe them in writing: 'shorter sleeves', 'wider collar', 'different zipper colour'.
