Sizing and Usage Rules for Hydrocolloid Dressings

Hydrocolloid dressings come in 5x5cm, 7.5x7.5cm, 10x10cm, 15x15cm, 15x20cm and 20x20cm, including bordered versions. Packaging instructions specify that the wound area must be clean and dry, and the dressing must be 2cm larger than the wound. Wounds deeper than 5mm require filling first. Hydrocolloids are not suitable for heavy exudate and must be changed when the dressing turns white and swells or when leakage occurs.

Fast Healing Plasters with Polyurethane Film

For superficial wound care, fast healing plasters use an air-permeable polyurethane film backing. The film offers moderate stretch to maintain contact without tearing across movable anatomical sites.

Silicone Tape for Fragile Skin

Silicone tape is supplied in roll sizes of 2.5cmx1.5m, 4cmx1.5m and 7.5cmx1.5m. It is intended for fragile skin where traditional adhesives cause damage, including infants and patients undergoing radiation therapy, chemotherapy or dialysis.
